Again no time off beyond a 34 hour break to reset my 70 hours. After getting back in Friday morning they called me out Saturday night. Left Anderson at 21:00 for Findley, OH where I was loaded with new Pepsi cans bound for the bottler in Ayre, MA. Delivered there at 06:00 Monday morning. After a break I drove down to Pottstown, PA and was loaded with ceramic for use in catalytic converters and brought that back to Anderson, IN. Walked back into the door of my house at 22:00 Tuesday night.
Wednesday at 11:00 the phone rang. Driver was involved in an accident enroute to his pickup in Shelbyville, IN. Car pulled out in front of him. I came in and hooked to and empty trailer and took it to the the customer in Shelbyville. There I dropped the empty trailer in the door and hooked to a preloaded trailer and pulled it down to Lavergne, TN off I-24 east of Nashville. Nashville rush hours are brutal because that city really doesn't have a bypass. Took me 7 1/2 hours to reach a place I've gotten to in 5 1/4 hours before. At Lavergne I dropped the loaded trailer then bobtailed back west a couple of exits on I-24 to the TA truckstop and took a 10 hour break. Then at 06:30 this morning I bobtailed to Murfreesboro, TN and hooked to a trailer preloaded with empty racks to return to the customer in Shelbyville. Got there and dropped the trailer loaded with empty racks in the door and hooked to an empty trailer and took that back to Anderson. Hoping I get this weekend off but don't know if that will happen or not.
