These are from weatherbell.com A private for profit company that makes it's money providing long range forecasts for businesses and industries around the world. IOW these guys livings depend on the accuracy of their forecasts. Both temperatures and snowfall are presented as anomalies or IOW the amount of expected departure from historic averages for the given areas.
First Temperature:
Now Snowfall:
So for Jer in the Dallas area and Minnie in the Texarkana area as the forecast stands now they should expect their winter temperatures to run about 3 degrees less than the average. The worst of the cold to come in February. And for Jer snow fall is forecast to be 200% of average while for Minnie it is forecast to be 150% of average.
For me in central Indiana temps are forecast as being about -1 deg from average while snow fall is supposed to be average.
These forecasts can evolve over time as the season gets closer and in fact what this latest one from August is the 3rd version this year with the first once having come out in April. I will try to remember to post any new ones Joe Bastardi and the boys come up with later.

Bring it on! I can get some OT while people slide and crash into each other here just at the mere mention of a snowflake within a 50 mile radius.
Actually, I like the cooler weather and early darkness. Me & momma get HDTV all set up with out favorite movies for the those long winter nights.

Thought I would mention that Weatherbell is still sticking with the winter forecast that they originally put out in August this year shown above.

We had an all time record for rainfall now and still with a month to go. Several drownings as people drive through barricades and into the high water anyway. The temp has dropped effective today to the 30's and 40's and I'm loving it. The family dog, too big for a lap dog, curls up in our laps or at our feet.
