Still awaiting that first 100 degree day here in Dallas. Just a surprise 3:00 AM thunderstorm here this morning also. That'll raise the humidity.

We had ZERO days of 100 deg. F last year and expect the same this summer if not even cooler. It's that darn global warming you know! Last weekend we has our strongest rain of a very wet June. My yard still had wet spots today and I decided to wait until tomorrow to mow. Illinois set an all time record for precipitation in the month of June.
Everything is growing like crazy that hasn't bee drowned out. We have corn tasseling already.
Today I finished cleaning my gutters and putting gutter guards on. The time will come when I'm too old to be climbing all over on a ladder so I decided to try and fix that. Hope the things work the way their supposed to. If Carter doesn't call me, and I expect they won't because we're into the slow down due to shut down, I'm going to wash and polish my bike tomorrow and take it for a ride in the morning and then mow the yard in the afternoon.

I actually didn't have time to do anything but take out the trash Wed. Got the call at 08:00 for a 10:30 departure for Melrose Park, IL (Near west side of Chicago). Unusual for me to be called during this time since Nissan is shut down this week and next and so most of the drivers normally dedicated to that account are looking for runs. But I did it and got back in home at 00:15 this Today (Thrusday)to find my neighbor had my back and mowed my yard.
So today, after it warms up since even at 11:35 in the morning it's only 68 deg. F, it will be motorcycle ride and putting in my wife's new clothesline posts. Sherry has a rib eye roast in the crock pot for supper that is already smelling pretty good though I would prefer that great cut to have been roasted instead of slow cooked. Generally and easy day to recover from my 13 1/2 hr. day of work yesterday.

The high today was something like 82. Still awaiting the triple digits that are 2 months late already.
