Yep, that's the forecast for today, March 23rd. Sleet, snow, rain. The colder than normal temps to continue though for Wednesday they are forecasting a high of 67 deg, the rest of the week to have highs in the 40s and 50s until Friday when the high will be in the 30s. This coming weekend the low will dip into the 20s. Wonder when motorcycle riding weather will get here.

I think Spring is here for us now. Been busy clearing out sewer pipes and raking leaves. Helped a neighbor pick up leaves and got stung by something with a God-awful sting to it on my thumb. Next time I'm wearing thick leather gloves. My thumb felt like it was on fire all afternoon. You wanna ride bikes the weather has been pretty nice the last 2 days. I'm getting my bike, 1989 Hard Rock, all ready for lake rides. No more motorcycles in the immediate future for me

On Thursday last week at about 10:00 AM I stopped at the Flying J truck stop in Pembroke, NY (Just east of Buffalo) to top off my fuel tanks. A mixture of rain, sleet, and snow was coming down hard. Thankfully it wasn't cold enough to make the roads slick and on I-90 they had put down salt. Lots of snow still on the ground in MA.
Early Saturday morning coming back from my trip into that cesspool they call NYC, it was snowing a little at the higher elevations on the PA turnpike. There's not much snow cover left in the southern part of PA that I was driving through though some of the ice sickles one see's flowing from rocky cuts along the road were still present on the north facing cuts.
Back at home here there is no snow on the ground anywhere but it is still cooler than normal for this time of year. The trees have buds and we have our spring migrant Robins and a mocking bird starting to build nests.
