Minnie, I left the house with pouring down rain then arrived at work with low visibility thick snow only to be melted by the sun with springlike weather during the afternoon. We got it all yesterday on Wednesday and will repeat it Saturday when I go back to work.

Is this damned winter ever going to end? Historic average temps for my area for this time of year are high of 50 deg and a low of 28. High today was 28 and forecast low to be -1. It's been like that all damned winter! We are supposed to get about 6" of snow here starting late Saturday night. And it ain't even close to over. Here is a map that Joe Bastardi and the boys at Weatherbell have put out. They forecast snow in all 50 states! That is only something that has happened 4 times since records began I've read. And Joe and the boys at Weatherbell are at the top of their class for longer range forecasts so odds are it's going to happen.

We are expecting more precip, as snow mostly, today and possibly tomorrow. Tomorrow is our son's first round of playoffs for his bowling team.

We got 7" last night into this morning. Spent last night until 11:00AM at Mom & Dads. They require a 24 hour care giver and with the weather forecast being what it was the service had no one so I and my niece spent the night. She took care of Mom's needs and I took care of Dads.
Came home and shoveled and snowblowed my drive and the widow ladies. Steve shoveled all that needed to be done at the widow ladies house. Now it is snowing again. They say we'll get another 1" or so before it stops.
Sherry had a Turkey in the oven. We'll have a turkey dinner and I'll take carved turkey and mashed potatoes and stuff to Mom & Dads about 17:30 for their dinner. So my Niece that is still there doesn't have to worry about dinner.
I can do all this because I don't go out until 10:00 AM tomorrow when I depart for Pottstown, PA. (South of Allentown).

It was a full day but I was happy to do it Minnie. I haven't spent as much time with Mom & Dad as I would have liked lately with work, having a new Grandbaby and all. I'm just thankful that they have the means to be able to stay in their own home in their twilight years. At night I can sleep there because they have baby monitors in their room and also a sensory system that plays a tone on a box that the care giver keeps with them that tells them when they are trying to get out of bed. And spending a little time with my niece was nice also. Both need help getting dressed and Dad needs help getting around, including trips to the bathroom. Both have been proscribed too many medications as far as I'm concerned and it is a chore to get Dad to takes his twice a day. They have to cooked for, helped with showers etc.

Well, we took 5th overall in district and tied the first place team 199 to 199 in the last game. Always next year. Now today we had record snow in DFW for this time of year. Already melting by this afternoon, but it seems we had spring already this week with so many days off as real Spring Break starts next week.
