Now that is unusual for my neck of the woods and I don't think we had any last summer either. 2012 was a warmer than normal summer with about twice and many days as normal over 100. Typically we will get a few 100 deg. days in July and early August with most days in the high 80s or low 90s.
Right now after this cold air came in last night it's 63 deg. at 10:00 in the morning with the high to get to a blistering 69 deg. I'm waiting for it to warm up to power wash the last couple of shutters that need done to get them ready to take to the powder coater.
No 100 Degree Readings In The Midwest This Summer
No 100 Degree Readings In The Midwest This Summer Posted on July 28, 2014 by stevengoddard
There have been no 100 degree temperatures reported in the midwest this summer. Climate Central defines the midwest as Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, Iowa, Indiana, Ohio and Michigan.
One hundred degree days used to be very common in the midwest, and during the summer of 1936 almost 20% of afternoons were over 100 degrees. There have been no 100 degree readings this summer.
The only recent year which had a lot of 100 degree readings was 2012. All of the other hot summers were below 350 PPM CO2.

We had just few days that touched or crept over 100 degrees. Supposed to get down in the low 90's and 80 even this week.
Now I went biking this morning and the humidity level was so high it was like sucking syrup through a straw. Excessive to the max. However, another cool front is coming down.

That humidity is exactly what we dealt with here for a couple days with 80 degs temps before the cold front finally came through last night. Sweat doing anything outside and you have to work to keep hydrated adequately.
