Your welcome Minnie. Have a little time off and post the things that interest me. Went to the opening races of Indiana Sprint Week last night. Great night of racing. After the race while we were waiting for the crowd to disperse we walked down on the dirt track. Pretty rough and hard with a lot of rubber down on it.
One bad accident during the night. Sprint car tumbled sideways in the air. Think he did at least 6 flips. Driver got out on his own but went to the hospital. Even with all the safety equipment and restraining devices and no wall to hit. When one of the those cars tumble violently it scrambles the brain on the driver. Usually it takes them a few days to recover normal vision and brain function.

Reading his driving posts and army stuff is like reading a biographical novel. It's all the little things that make it so interesting.

Ah heck Jer, I don't use face book so you guys have to put up with me chronically the trivial here. I wonder if you could volunteer for rescue at one of your local tracks and get to watch some racing for free. If you can let me suggest it's a dirt track where they run the sprints and midgets. You'll see 10x more racing there in a night than one sees watching NASCARs stock cars.

As a paramedic I could and did volunteer for lots of stuff, but not anymore. I value my time off more than ever at this later stage of my life. I did get into a Joan Jett concert for free a few July 4th's back and that was neat. A heck of a storm blew through the middle of it, but no one got hurt and we all had fun.
